Course Description

Upon completion of Industrial Hygiene Basics course, you’ll develop a basic understanding of industrial hygiene terminology and principles, as well as practical approaches for recognizing, evaluating, and controlling common workplace industrial hygiene hazards.

What You Will Learn

Industrial Hygiene Basics is an essential course to take if you are concerned about the safety, health and general wellbeing of your co-workers and hazards that could affect them.

This is a one-day (.65 CEUs) course that introduces industrial hygiene terminology and principles, as well as practical approaches for recognizing, evaluating, and controlling common workplace hazards: chemicals, noise, radiation, thermal stress, and biological and ergonomic stressors. We’ll discuss basic anatomy and physiology, toxicology, hazard control, and recognition and evaluation of chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.
