4 Way to Get Involved in National Safety Month – 2021

Betsey Kulakowski, CSHO, COSS

Executive Director

Now, more than ever, safety is essential in the workplace and anyplace, which is why the Oklahoma Safety Council, in partnership with the National Safety Council is recognizing June as National Safety Month.

National Safety Month is a call to action; to focus on saving lives and preventing injures at work, at home, and on the road. With unintentional injuries at an all-time high, safety does not stop in the face of a pandemic. In fact, it becomes all the more critical.

As we face one of the worst pandemics in the history of our world, it is important to remember that all the same hazards we faced before COVID-19 reared its ugly head are still present in our world. Given the current conditions, National Safety Month will look a little different than in previous years.  Rather than focusing on a single topic each week, this year, we will shine a spotlight on pressing topics ranging from:

  • Preventing Incidents Before They Start
  • Address On-going COVID-19 Safety Concerns
  • Its Vital to Fell Safe on the Job
  • Advance Your Safety Journey
