This course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles. This is an entry-level course that provides you with basic safety and health knowledge for the general industry. Upon completion of this course, a wallet card and certificate will be issued for proof of course completion. Topics covered are scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis will be placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. When you complete this course, you’ll be able to find correct OSHA Standards in 29 CFR 1910, identify common causes of accidents and fatalities in hazardous areas of general industry, identify abatement techniques for hazards found in general industry and much more.

This course is ideal for general industry workers, safety superintendents/supervisors, managers, and associated general industry workers/supervisors/managers.

Upon successful course completion, the student will receive an OSHA general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card. OSHA 30-Hour cards will be sent to the worker, typically within 90 days.

What is your cancellation policy for this course?

This course requires a minimum of three students, in accordance with the OSHA Outreach Training Requirements. If OSC cancels the course due to low enrollment, we will email the student by close of business the day prior to the course.  


Please make certain your email address is entered accurately and check emails before traveling to our training center.


All cancellation or rescheduling for classes must be made by 2:00 PM on the business day PRIOR to the scheduled class. Full course fees will be assessed if registrant has not cancelled by the deadline.  Anyone who may be late should call to notify the training center. Anyone arriving late  without notification – will be assessed the full class fee.
