NSC INCIDENT/ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION (6 hours)
This course is an introductory program that focuses on techniques for gathering complete, accurate and objective incident data, establishing root causes, reporting findings, and determining corrective action.
Discussion, demonstrations, and exercises cover investigation and interview techniques. Participants learn how to uncover the who, what, why, when, and how of each incident, and how to analyze data to prevent injuries, property damage and financial losses.

About the Instructor
BILL YOUNG – A longtime member of the Oklahoma Safety Council’s Board of Directors, Bill Young has been one of THE most popular presenters at the OSC State Conferences all these past many years! Bill is the Manager of Safety Services for the OGE Energy Corporation and also shares his leadership knowledge/expertise as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma. As a member of the ASSP Executive Committee for several years, Bill is also a “favorite speaker” at ASSP Conferences.
NSC First Aid/CPR/AED (6 hours)
NSC First Aid/CPR/AED is a comprehensive course, taught in a dynamic, hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum and content from the expert in occupational first aid training. this course provides the vital knowledge needed to respond to a medical emergency effectively and efficiently.
Participants will learn to:
● Recognize a medical emergency
● Handle breathing and cardiac emergencies
● Act appropriately and effectively and sustain life until professional help arrives
● Prevent disease transmission
● Identify and care for bleeding, sudden illness and injuries

Fundamentals of Crew Leadership
(6-8 hours)
While this module has been designed to assist the recently promoted crew leader, it is beneficial for anyone in management.
This is the fourth edition of the Fundamentals of Crew Leadership which reflects a more modern approach to frontline leadership, including working with diverse crews and building motivated teams. This module includes practical applications for project leadership, such as workface planning, field reporting, and resource control. New content has been added on the transition from peer to leader, including how to address performance issues and manage conflicts.
Students must complete the course with a passing score of 70% on module test. If they do not pass, they have to wait 2 days to retake the test. All performance profiles will be done during the pre-con course.
Students who complete the course with a passing score will receive a certificate from 4-C Welding on site. An NCCER Certificate will be sent by mail after the Conference.
About the Instructor
Lena Kopp is the Owner / Director / CEO / Administrator / AAO / Solicitor of 4C Welding & Industrial Center, which is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools. She also manages the OSC Satellite location in Hugo, Oklahoma. Lena is an experienced safety professional, instructor, and business woman.
